It’s easy to put off — until it isn’t

Nobody wakes up excited to shop for life insurance, so it sits on the to-do list for years. The truth is it’s usually cheaper and simpler than people expect, and getting it handled buys a kind of peace of mind that’s hard to put a price on.

We’ll help you figure out how much you actually need and which type fits — then shop it so you’re not overpaying.

Coverage for the people you’re protecting

Most families need one or two of these — not all of them. Start anywhere, and we’ll help you sort out the right mix.

Not sure how much you need? A common starting point is roughly 10–12× your annual income, but the right number really depends on your debts, your dependents, and what you want covered. We’ll help you land on it — no guesswork, no upsell.

The first fork most people hit

♾️

Permanent: lifelong

Whole life never expires and can build cash value; final-expense policies are smaller, simplified options aimed at covering funeral costs. Higher premium, but it’s there for life.

🤝

Often a mix

Plenty of people pair a large term policy for the working years with a smaller permanent policy for final expenses. We’ll show you the math.

Life insurance, answered

Term life covers you for a set number of years at the lowest cost and pays out only if you pass away during that term. Whole life is permanent — it never expires and can build cash value over time — but it costs more per dollar of coverage. Term fits temporary needs like a mortgage and young kids; permanent fits lifelong needs like final expenses or leaving a legacy.
A common starting point is about 10 to 12 times your annual income, but the right number depends on your specific situation — your mortgage and other debts, how many people depend on you, future costs like college, and any coverage you already have through work. We’ll walk through it with you rather than hand you a generic figure.
Not always. Many carriers offer no-exam or simplified-issue policies, especially for smaller coverage amounts, where you answer health questions instead of taking a physical. Larger policies often still involve an exam, which can also unlock lower rates if you’re healthy. We’ll match you to the path that makes sense.
Final expense is a smaller whole-life policy designed to cover funeral, burial, and other end-of-life costs so your family isn’t left with the bill. It typically has modest coverage amounts and simplified underwriting, which makes it accessible for older applicants.
No. Brokers are paid by the insurance carriers, and that’s already built into the premium whether you use one or not. You pay the same as going direct, and you get someone independent comparing carriers for you instead of selling a single company’s product.
