Janel was born and raised in Chaska, Minnesota and still lives and works in the area. She has a son and a daughter she shares her favorite sports with — softball and baseball — and when she’s not in the office she’s usually outside with her kids, at their games, or finding a new wooded trail or river to explore.
She bowled competitively in college, where it helped earn scholarship money toward school, and someday hopes to set up a space at home to restore old furniture as a side gig. Back in elementary school she earned a Good Citizens Award for helping others, and spent a lot of time volunteering at her grandmother’s nursing home — the same big-hearted instinct that still shows up in how she treats her clients.
